Today’s great moment is brought to us by Coach Mack Brown.
CMB just received a $2 million dollar annual raise, bumping his salary to $5 million per annum.
Let’s count the reasons why this was the correct thing to do (and probably overdue):
- The Texas Football team is the biggest moneymaker in college sports. Factoring in that the Big XII doesn’t have their own network or exclusive TV deals like the SEC on ESPN makes this all the more impressive.
- Texas is the only team in the nation to have 10 or more wins every year since 2001.
- Texas is still able to overcome a big recruiting disadvantage because practically every other state in the union comes to steal their players. Seriously, check any other team’s roster. Maybe 15, 20 FBS teams don’t have a player from Texas*.
- Texas won the greatest game of the decade.
So here’s to you, Mack. We are thankful for you and are happy to have the best college football coach in the country.
Hook ‘em.

College Football

does not compute.
For instance: the best players in the Civil War game last week (James and Rodgers) are from Texas. With a complete lack of a running game this year, Mack could’ve definitely used those players, but they were pilfered.
if John Calipari wasn’t alive, Mack Brown would be the best coach to actually never coach a game.
I’d probably bet that EVERY FBS team has a kid from Texas.
he got an executive bonus…because he sure as hell doesn’t do any coaching.
but i can’t quibble with the raise. he makes A LOT of money for that program…he’s just more CEO than coach.
don’t forget darrell scott too! imagine what he would’ve done if not saddled with mr. DIVISION ONE FOOTBALL.
this is exactly why Mack doesn’t deserve the raise. he’s too presumptuous for Texas’ success to continue because he thinks all these in-state guys will choose Texas simply because it’s Texas. if he’d pay more like Herban or offer hot coed pussy like Lane, Texas would win national championships every year.
He doesn’t count though cause he was from California. And couldn’t block. Or really run.
Serena’s moneymaker is bigger than Texas football team’s.
What doesn’t compute is how this is a dis advantage. They are in your back yard, the advantage is yours. And Masoli is from California, not texas.
/the next 3 best are from texas (James, Rodgers, Rodgers)
//you could have had any of them if you wanted them
///blame your $5mm man.
Mac Brown’s only Championship came on a gameplan of one playcall…Snap the ball to Vince and watch him do stuff”
Seriously, he deserves to be one of teh top paid coaches in the country, but I would have waited til after Alabama kicks their fucking teeth in.
The State of Florida would like a minute with you.
Texas played in the 2003 Fiesta Bowl?
when does Les Miles new dollar amount kick in?
Sorry, Texas QBs > Florida QBs
/SECCG’d
Tebow = 2 rings , McCoy = 0
Seems close, McCoy only needs two more rings to catch Tebow.
Western PA laughs.
Adam Morrison > D-Ho
/Rings, baby!

GatorTrey, meet strawman. strawman, GatorTrey.
/don’t know if that’s correct use of strawman…just always wanted to make a comment like that.
Tebow > McCoy.
Adam Morrison > D-Ho

+1
truth, tho to be fair, florida only has one legitimate football power while texas has to compete with those land theives.
dude…west PA QB’s are a thing of the past. who’s the banner for that area now? morelli? pryor? yeesh.
texas has had VY, stafford, colt, chase, reesing and probably a few im missing. and mcelroy has a chance to be really good in bammer.
I am guessing clock management wasn’t one of the reasons for the raise.
i thought we were talking all-time. soooooooooo sorry.
Texas is the only team in the nation to have 10 or more wins every year since 2001.
So that makes you the Atlanta Braves of college football?
/makes jerking off motion
//for no reason
needs more woefully uninformedness
reminds me more of Syracuse’s 20 wins streak.
I agree with this.
