Roman’s Correct Predictions of the Future: NFL Week 12

My Thanksgiving night could not have been more vomit inducing. Not only did the Giants get ass raped with a rusty spike, it also ruined a hell of a gambling day for me. Fuck them straight to holy hell. Really, I hate them for sucking so much. What the fuck happened? All of a sudden David Diehl and his adequacy at Left Tackle is no longer useful on run blocking. Rich Seubert is all kinds of teh suck. The loss of Michael Matthews as a blocking Tight End is glaring. Darcy Johnson blows. I love Kevin Boss but blocking is not his strong suit. Kevin Gilbride never runs to the right or up the gut which is pathetic since Shaun O’Hara and Chris Snee are fucking monsters who should provide a hole. The take a power runner in Brandon Jacobs and have him run off the edge which is flat out retarded. They throw all over the place because they are now a passing team but can’t adjust when they are getting locked down on man coverage. I watched the Broncos throw over the middle and in the flat to tight ends and backs all night, why can’t the Giants? It would only make sense to throw the ball to Kevin Boss as opposed to having wide outs run slants all over the field and hope to break free from Champ Fucking Bailey and Brian Rat Fucking Headhunting Dawkins. I hate Kevin Gilbride. He draws up great plays but doesn’t know how to call them or at least adjust to what is actually happening on the field.

As for the fucking sieve that is the Giants “Defense”, what the fuck? First off, tackle. Really, if a guy is in front of you put two arms around him and bring him to the ground. Secondly, are you telling me that you can’t find a guy off the street any better than CC Brown? Any fucking better? At all? He is a disgrace to the position. As for the coaching, Bill Sheridan is an incompetent asshole. There should never be a reason that Chris Canty is defending the tight end 12 yards down field. Ever. Stunts are effective when they are a surprise but having D lineman down field every play is just stupefying. I understand the linebacker play of this team is hideous but there should never be a reason that Chris Canty, Justin Tuck, Osi Umenyiora, Rocky Bernard or Barry Cofield are ever covering the pass more than 4 yards off the line. Ever. If you need to use Mathias Kiwanuka as a linebacker on passing downs, something he has done before, so be it. But in doing that you are taking away the one edge pass rusher who actually gets to the Quarterback.

I am sick of this shit. The talent on the field on the offensive end is being wasted. The lack of talent at linebacker and safety is just a joke. The coaching is abysmal. The fact that this team could not show up last night is a statement and indictment on the entire team. They want to be though of as elite. They want to be thought of as winners. Well, winners don’t lay eggs like that when you are in the stretch run. Elite teams may not win in Denver but they certainly do not get embarrassed the way they did. Dallas a week from Sunday is the season. The entire fucking thing. All the cushion is gone. All the goodwill from January 2007 is gone. The excuses are done. The 2009 Giants stand on their own merits. A middling football team with an identity problem.

I don’t even have it in me to give you any insight into my picks. You aren’t even reading anyway.
