Could these guys be the next Lopez or O'Bannon brothers?

College basketball has quietly started up and like every year, it takes a while for people to notice.  One has to ask, without stars Tyler Hansborough and Stephen Curry, will college basketball ratings shrivel up to nothing?  I know one idiot blogger who probably thinks so.  Anyways, there was no college games last night, but I was watching CBB on Monday and thought about this.

With no games played at the college level last night, lets flip a 180 and take a look at some scores from the NBA last night:

Wizards 76, Heat 90:  The Heat were down for most of this game but they were up when the game clock said 0:00 and the final buzzer sounded.  Dwyane Wade scored 29 of his 41 in the second half to lead his team to victory.  It is the second time Wade has scored 40 against the Wiz this season in 2 times they played.  Wade also had 5 boards, 5 assists and 3 steals.  Arenas led the Wizards with 21 points and Haywood chipped in with 13 points and 11 rebounds.

Nuggets 90, Bulls 89:  This game wins the award for wildest ending in the NBA last night.  Chauncey Billups made a go-ahead free throw with less than a second to play.  The Bulls rebounded the second FT and called a time out with 0.3 left on the clock.  The ball was inbounded to Brad Miller (for his only 2 points) who hit a runner from about 18 feet.  The Bulls players and fans went wild.  The refs looked at the replay for nearly 10 minutes, eventually ruling that the shot did not count.  Miller’s two points were taken off the board and the rest is history.

Thunder 98, Kings 101:  Jason Thompson fucked around and got a double double last night with 21 points and 14 rebounds for the Kings.  Tyreke Evans had 20 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists.  Three other young players scored in double digits for the Kings.  They have a pretty good young squad.  They improved to 4-4 on the year, their first .500 record since December of 2006.  Durant led the Thunder with 37 points, including 18-18 from the charity stripe.  Durant hit a 3 with 4 seconds left to pull within 1 point but Tyreke Evans hit 2 free throws to put the game away.
