Personally I would have thought that Gardy was going to win.

He didn’t have his All Star 1B for the last month
He won the division with Nick Punto, Brian Buscher, and Joe Crede.
He has the second lowest payroll in the division
Had to win like 70% of the games in the last month and a half to overtake the leader.

Cons:
Weakest division in baseball

Now I don’t think that this is a HUGE slight against the voters, but I still think it is something that was given to the wrong guy.

My guess is after watching the Yankees win the World Series the voters who didn’t vote for Girardi are wishing they had their vote back.
