this isn’t the NFL where there’s a steep decline…bradford was replaced with another guy who was just as highly touted and recruited and still probably better than 90% of college football starting QB’s.
You’re right spence. Georgia, FSU, Michigan, and Tennessee all had top ten ranked recruiting classes last year. I’m suprised their not out there domintating people with their highly touted youngsters.

TURNED. It takes time. A backup isn’t going to come in and keep the machine rolling without a glitch. If that were the case there wouldn’t be mass vigils going on in Gainseville all last week and this week because they wouldn’t be worried about Tebow. They’d just hand the keys to the next guy.
right…and it helps to have an established set of playmakers around them, guys who can make the transition a lot easier. something FSU, michigan and tennessee don’t have thanks to years of turmoil.
but for the big powerhouses with established coaches? there really shouldn’t be much of a drop off unless there’s, a) serious drop off in talent, which, in this case, and florida’s case, and usc’s case (yes, even though they lost) there isn’t, b) the backup isn’t suited to the scheme (ohio state’s backup problem if TP goes down, michigan last year) or c) they aren’t a powerhouse.
oklahoma has proven they can go plug’n'play with QB’s…that is not a problem for OU.

In OU’s defense (and I hate myself for doing so), from last season they lost 80% of their O-line, their beastmodian tight end, and they lost their #1 receiver halfway thru the Miami game. Landry wasn’t exactly playing with All-Americans out there.

Doesn’t matter clown. I have it on good authority that OU should have been able to plug in anyone because even if they are young and haven’t spent much time with the other starters, they were good in HS and therefore ready to step in and play without skipping a beat.
