This one comes from clown country.
Is this the biggest hit of the weekend? Probably not, but who cares? Not only is this in great, HD goodness, but it’s got a variety of camera angles, rabid fanshots, it happened in a big moment in a close game and, most importantly, A HELMET POPS OFF REVEALING A MUSTACHE!!!

College Football Hit of the Week

Toonces!
I enjoy watching people get harmed by other people.
even though this was my post, this hit kinda leaves me underwhelmed…kindle beats his blocker right off the bat, and when he gets all that open space, you expect it to be something absolutely terrifyingly brutal. coulda been better, but i only watched about four hours of college football this weekend, so there’s my excuse.
What was that OT even doing? Was he expecting the TE to pick up that block? The ball was snapped and he just stood there.
“Oh shit, the defensive end is rushing the passer”
I think he hit him too high. If he had hit him in the midsection, he could have torn him in half. That would’ve been like 1000x better than the Theismann broken leg.
That is 4 more hours than I watched so I will believe this hit is the best of the week.
/Just show Ray Lewis’s game ending stuff of Darren Sproles on a continuous loop..that is Football right there
You know what I learned from that clip? Philip Rivers is a shitty QB.
He guessed the right play on Tecmo Super Bowl.
+1 Hef
the center fucked up, but dielman could’ve at least tried to chip.
then again…ray murda was in there pretty fucking fast.
Spencer you seem to know a little bit more about football strategy than I do. Perhaps you can help me understand the play call there. A goal line formation on 4th and 2 from the 14?
Spencer would you say that’s the RG’s responsibility, or did somebody else whiff?
happy…watch the game winning play the chargers ran against oakland…exact same play, just to the other side of the line.
they went with a jumbo set because they needed a TD to win, and just wanted to get the first down so they’d have 4 shots with 30ish seconds left.
See, I think he did what he had to do. He has to seal the backside if the LG is going to pull. Somebody else whiffed on Lewis.
C fucked up…RG had kelly gregg right on top of him so that was his responsibility.
lefty…it was just a bad playcall.
the center should’ve seen ray the whole time, they shouldn’t have had dielman pull and they SHOULD’VE FUCKING PASSED WHEN THEIR QUARTERBACK HAD 430 YARDS PASSING TO THAT POINT!!!
Who the hell is Marcus McNeill supposed to be blocking? He ended up double teaming Gregg, and Lewis had that gaping hole to run through. That was a whole right side of the line fail.
There were some O-line problems..but lets just say that Ray Lewis made a fucking phenomenal play. First, he is calling the play, moves over to the spot between the C and RG right before the snap. The O-Line has about a second to think about adjusting then Ray Ray sprints towards the shiftiest RB in the league and tags him. Did the Chargers have a bad play call? Sure. Did the O-line not compensate for Ray Lewis? Absolutely? Did Ray Lewis make a fucking amazing football play? Fuck yes.
How fucking awful was that play call? Hadn’t ran the ball worth shit all day long. Fucking awful.
roman’s got it…sure it was a poor call and bad adjustment by a backup C, but that was one FUCK of a play.
i love ray murda…raven or not.
Don’t get me wrong, great play by Lewis. Something tells me that he was ready to make that play since film study on Thursday.
I think you are correct sir. I can see Norv in the war room game planning for this game.
Norv: If we need to pick up a couple of yards lets run that play to Sproles that worked against Oakland.
Phillip: Coach, the Ravens will sniff that out, Ray lewis watches game film in his sleep.
Norv: Good point Phillip.
/15 seconds of silence
//another 15 seconds of silence
Norv: Oh I know, we’ll disguise this one in our Jumbo package, they will never expect a run is coming.
All around busted blocking assignments.
It was a trap to the right side, where the LG cuts behind the C and kicks the DT (or the first man outside of the Offensive RG) out. RG and RT, for some reason (and it really defeated the entire purpose of the trap), double teamed the DT and the TE blocked down on the DE, so the LG had no one to kick out, so he turned upfield.
C blocked back, and the LT blocked in.
From what I can see, the center called off the trap since the Ravens were showing blitz and stacking the box, thus turning what would be a stuffed play into a standard dive. That explains why the RT and RG doubled up on the DT who was in the hole that needed to be opened up, and why the C blocked back. The LG either didn’t hear the center’s audible or was already committed.
Or the center pulled a brainfart, and the RT and RG did too. Whatever. Lewis is the muthafuckin man anyways.
