Baseball and hot dogs go together like peanut butter and jelly, and I guess the same could be said about July 4th weekend and hot dogs too, but whatever, not all hot dogs are created equal and that’s the point I was trying to get to.

Nothing beats the hot dogs the homeless guys sell right outside of Camden Yards.
Anthony Kim shot a 62 today at Congressional, including a 29 on the back. We now return you to your regularly scheduled programming.
He loves that course.
The national championship is there in ‘11, isn’t it spencer?
yep.
a lot of people tho don’t like congressional (im not one of them) for some reason. and they completely fucked up this tournament by redoing all the greens. insiders are saying the greens might not even be ready for the start of the us open which would be an abject disaster.
How bad do you have to fuck up greens that you can’t fix them in two years? What the hell did they do?
They used a generic version instead of official Miracle Gro.
Spencer…if there’s ketchup on that hot dog, I’m going to have a grabber.
My only pet peeve about food. If someone puts ketchup on a hotdog, they deserve to have a sharp knife stuck up their ass.
Where the hell is this Cavs press conference taking place?
This is absurd.
How about catsup? Would that be ok?
complete redesign, first off, which is dumb because they were redesigned 20 years ago.
but the big thing is that they’re redoing ALL the drainage and the structure of the greens. first, poa annua grass has grown in when it should be bentgrass…poa annua is more unpredictable in northern climates meaning the grain is going to be a big issue there. two, in order to restructure and install new drainage, they’re going to have to completely dig up all the greens and reinstall them…they’ll be doing this immediately after this tourney, and it’s going to be so bad, that next year’s ATT tourney will be hosted at a different course.
there’s nothing wrong with these changes, but the greens are going to be totally different than what we see this week.
So, they’re going away from bent? That could be a weather related decision. It gets hot here in the summer. When I lived in Atlanta, a lot of courses went away from bent for the same reason. It’s just not durable in the heat. Not that poa is the answer, that shit’s terrible.
And I’m the dick for ranting about the word golf being used as a verb. Gotcha.
no…poa annua has crept into the greens which should be all bentgrass.
the bigger issue is the USGA’s insistence on sticking with rees jones to do all the pre-open work on these courses. we don’t need another rees-toration to these phenomenal courses, just improvements and updates. rees goes way overboard and does a bunch of shit that’s just not necessary.
take oakmont for example…oakmont didn’t need a lot of changes in order to be a us open quality course. yet rees comes in, the greens are 1/2 on the stimp from being unplayable and mickelson almost breaks his wrist because of the rough length. thank god mike davis, voice of reason, is there to mitigate jones’ bullshit.
In his defense, Rees Jones comes by that honestly. It runs in his family, and if you hear people call you “The Open Doctor” enough times, it’s bound to have an effect. They’ve jacked around with Congressional way too much over the years. Reversing the nines, etc. It really is a shame.
what the fuck is wrong with ketchup on a hotdog? people from chicago make me want to punch them in their cock holster when they complain about ketchup on a fucking hot dog.
sure it runs in his family, but considering that his brother hates the living shit out of him, i don’t know if that’s a viable defense.
personally, there are many architects who would be better suited. tom fazio is a opulent course designer who would be able to create a masters like atmosphere but my choice would be tom doak.
doak creates wonderfully natural courses and would be the best choice to really bring out each Open-rota course’s character. he doesn’t go over the top and really creates wonderful challenging, yet fair courses that seems to fit the current USGA trends. i think he and davis could make beautiful Open’s together.
ever had stadium mustard from cleveland?
if you haven’t, then you should…it’s the best ever. personally, ANYTHING on a hot dog other than stadium mustard is nasty…but that’s just me.
Gulden’s is better.
liar
Cereal in milk really grinds my gears.
No. I’m not interested in the AIDS.
So, I’m supposed to go to the Royals game tonight. Unfortunately there are no promotions going but it’s ok because Greinke is pitching. Only, Greinke isn’t pitching because since Bruce Chen was added to the roster they’ve pushed Greinke back a day. Horseshit!
Bruce Chen is atrocious, but the Bruce Chen joke of the day feature at Camden Yards was comedy at its finest.
It’s garbage. No fireworks, no $1 hotdogs, no free shirts, no Greinke. What’s the point in even going to a baseball game?
To spend $80 getting drunk on shitty beer?
