spencer096: plus, it’s much harder to officiate in the NFL than it is in the NBA. at least with teh current 3 ref system the NBA uses with guys past their physical and ocular primes forced to run up and down the court for 48 minutes and judge guys who can make split second movements faster than any other group of humans on earth in a free flowing game with rare stoppages.

personally...i do. the NFL actually reviews referee performance. i think NFL refs aggregate, had a 97% success rate, and if something gets fucked up, the head of officiating, mike perreria (spelling?) publicly addresses the issue instead of letting it stew in the court of public opinion. plus, it's much harder to officiate in the NFL than it is in the NBA. at least with teh current 3 ref system the NBA uses with guys past their physical and ocular primes forced to run up and down the court for 48 minutes and judge guys who can make split second movements faster than any other group of humans on earth in a free flowing game with rare stoppages.

I think, accepting that some calls are going to be wrong, NFL officiating is nowhere near as bad as NBA officiating.
