According to Ralph Vacchiano at the New York Daily News, Eli Manning intends to become the highest-paid player in the NFL.
According to one source, Manning’s agents “want to make him the highest-paid player.” Another source suggested the Super Bowl XLII MVP’s initial asking price was up near an average of $20 million per year.
In the NFL this past season, Eli was 14th in QB rating, 19th in completion %, 17th in passing yards, and 20th in passing yards per game.
UPDATE: Evidently CRM touched on this subject awhile back. Chalk that up to oopsie.
