Good morning fellow land mammals. How’s everybody feeling today? Glad to hear it.
I’ve got a big day ahead of me. I’m playing basketball at noon. I’m going to the mall. And tonight, I’m going to Massachusetts to attend my brother’s graduation Saturday morning. That means tonight, I drink with college kids. It should be interesting to see if I’ve still got it. Apparently we’re starting the night at a mini-golf course. Shit is about to get real.
Anywho… In case you’re one of the tens of people who doesn’t follow my super-duper Twitter feed, I came up with a new word last night: Bostenfreude. See, its the joy that we all feel whenever a Boston team fails. Admit it – it’s a tremendous rush. And last night was joy after joy.
Orlando 83, Boston 75: The Celtics had a double-digit lead in the 4th, but couldn’t close. Seems like it should be the other way around, doesn’t it? Dwight Howard got the most out of his touches last night scoring 23 points on 9 of 16 shooting. He also had 22 rebounds. JJ Reddick started the game and went 0-7 from the field. People from Duke suck in the pros. (Except for Battier and Grant Hill.) There will be a game 7.
Houston 95, Los Angeles 80: The Lakers started slow and never made it all the way back. Aaron Brooks continued his emergence as the greatest sub-5′ player in the history of the NBA with 26 points. Kobe scored 32 on an economical 11 of 27 from the field.
Detroit 4, Anaheim 3: Dan Cleary scored the game-winner with 3 minutes to go in regulation. Wooo!
Carolina 3, Boston 2, OT: A game 7 loss? Awww… that’s too bad. Now all the bandwagoning Boston fans who started following the Bruins for 2 weeks can go back to pretending David Ortiz didn’t use steroids. Speaking of which…
Los Angeles 5, Boston 4, 12 innings: The Boston Sucks Trifecta! What a night for sports fans! Wait… Let me continue – David Ortiz went 0-7, struck out 3 times and left 12 men on base. Oh-4-fucking-SEVEN. Did they send that mother fucker up there without a bat? At this point we have to start asking, is he the worst 3-hitter in the history of baseball?

Economical??
You must work for Chrysler! (Rimshot)
//how topical
Aside: Needs more cankle.
A black guy wearing a ‘Boston Sucks’ shirt? From what Hef’s told me, Boston is racist enough. That guy doesn’t need to fuel the fire.
In the commenter league I traded Volquez and Cantu for Soriano. My logic was my pitching is already sick and I have Mike lowell I can put at third but Nick Swisher is one of my out Fielders. I didnt over pay did I?
Seems pretty good, Bo. Cantu isn’t worth much anyway. Soriano for Volquez is good for you.
lakers suck.
Yea nick Volquez was bringing me down he gets strikeouts but allows the same number of runs. fuck that. and I got Lackey coming off the DL saturday.
i saw that trade tamopa, pretty good on your end. i need to protest that shit. too bad for you that my team fucking rocks and i am staying in first all year.
Ark. Im comin for that Ass. THis trade helps alot. Im in first in the MLJ league. Those guys fucking suck.
nick, do you remember what that over/under on reds win was before the season? i wanted to get all over that, seems best that i didn’t get it.
also, who wants to break it to crm that green day sucks ass?
Jones’ing your twitter for content? Who do you think you are, Simmons?
Ark: Yeah, it was anywhere from 79 to 81. I personally liked the under but wouldn’t touch it.
I’m happy with the start, but we (yes, we) still need some offense.
