The end of our little prospect journey brings us to the very first edition of Major League Jerk’s Top 100 prospects list. I’ve had a blast compiling the division top 10s and I’ve worked my ass off on this top 100.
A quick note about the rankings: I tend to favor guys with high ceilings, but I take a lot of things into account: position (which is why Wieters is #1), defense (which is why I’m higher on Elvis Andrus than most) and guys who can really control the strike zone (which explains my Kellen Kulbacki fetish)
I really wanted to go through and write a blurb on every player, but quite frankly there isn’t enough time. If you have any questions a quick Google search will do the trick, but if you want to know why player A. is ranked ahead of player B. just go ahead and ask in the comments.

the equipment guy is gonna have a shit-fit when both these guys get to the majors.
oops, I know what i did. Thanks spence.
fetch…do you know anything about indians OF trevor crowe? he’s having a pretty solid spring training. he was a 1st round pick, but seems to have stalled a bit in the minors.
Spence: He sucks.
If anyone sees any other stupid mistakes like the one spence found let me know. Stupid WordPress wouldn’t let me do this all at once so I’m sure there is at least one more duplicate
Fetch, I have a question: I used to think the Twins were gonna win the AL central and now I think they’re destined for third. Why do you think that is?
/I’ll hang up and listen
So Detroit doesnt have 1 prospect in the top 100? Thats it, no more Mudhens games for me.
thought so. oh well, tribe has enough OF’s.
Rick, this blog is anti-detroit ever since they got together and watched 8 mile.
they had cameron maybin, if that makes you feel any better.
more accurate
rick: 24.
Everyone thinks Porcello is fantastic and Alderson sucks, but truthfully I don’t see much difference between the two.
Hef: I dont get it
San Francisco looks like they are in good shape.
“Buster Posey” is the best name on that list. I wonder If my fiance will let me name my kid Buster?
@Spencer, the opinions of Italians mean very little to me.
Did you just add that guy? Did you open the ND phonebook and pick someone out?
yeah rick i did.
that’s racist.
Porcello is having a good spring. He will help out a lot in the Tigers championship run this year.
Honest question: since Dontrelle Willis went all the way down to single A, does he become a prospect again?
No, once you have a certain amount of innings or at bats you arent a prospect
At which point you become a failure
MAMA MIA!!
Spencer, I apologize if I offended you.
/Spicy Meatball
porcello’s italian.
you’re a hypocrite.
If you are on one of my favorite teams, you can be any race, even Mexican.

HOME RUN
How the hell is F-Mart 45? He is at least better than Josh Vitters! I am all for F-mart at 44 and Vitters at 45.
/nice work..
2 guys on the list named Neftali, wow, what are the odds?
only 1 cub? i remember the good ol’ day when the cubs supposedly had the best farm system in the league and they would loose 80 to 90 games a year and people would say “wait til next year _______ is coming up!” and the dude would be about as good spoiled milk.
