As if you couldn’t stand the wait anymore. Here it is, once and for all, the 2009 predictions for the outcome of this year’s season. Sure, these games aren’t played on paper, but one day they will be and we’re trying to prepare ourselves for our eventual Nerd Overlords. Care for a pocket protector, guvnah?
The process is/was easy. Every MLJer sent in his predictions for the top three per division, the wild card winners, and the World Series winner and I assigned points to each (5 for first, 3 for second, 1 for third). Number of first place votes in parenthesis. You can see all of the individual choices down further in the post. Yes, I chose the Royals to win the AL Central. You know why? Because that division is a toss up and I wanted to get on board the KC train before it left the station and you assholes were all standing around saying, “Who saw that coming?” And I’ll be all like, “I did, jerk.” And you’ll be all like whoa, and I’ll be all like “damn straight, whoa.” It’ll be great.
