According to everyone but first reported by ESPN, the Cowboys have cut Terrell Owens. I have been laughing my ass off for a solid hour since I found out. (I slept like a baby last night) I was ready to write a post that would tear TO down. But while I was contemplating my words, Chirs Canty was on the Boomer and Carton Show on WFAN in New York. The question, what kind of teammate is TO and would you like to see him on the Giants? The answer, an excellent teammate and of course. Now, this could be someone being polite to an insane person and former teammate but I have to say it planted the seed. Personally, I don’t think it should happen. I know it always comes back to my team but one of the biggest talked about holes for one of the better teams in the NFL is a top receiver for the Giants. Well, TO is pretty top. My concern with signing him is twofold. First, when Eli throws one of his wounded ducks and it bounces off of TO’s hands (a common occurrence for both gentlemen) I don’t need to see TO yelling at the world like it was just Eli’s fault. Secondly, I don’t want the media circus that surrounds him. I don’t feel like watching a soap opera every night and reading it everyday. It would be A-Rodesque. And I am more than happy A-Hole plays across town.
TO is a magnet for attention. He is also someone that disappears when it matters, except his Super Bowl with the Eagles, where his choking QB choked instead of him. If things are going his way, he is fantastic. If they are not, he takes plays off. Plaxico Burress is a whole different set of distractions but he always played hard and ran his routes and blocked. Good times or bad. I know TO’s distractions are not against the law. It is a man talking. So you could say that Plax is the worse human being. But Plax is the better teammate. I think in the end it is not all about Plax on the field. It is all about TO. TO’s talent is All-World. Let him be All-World for the Jets or some other team I want to laugh at.

Spencer…second half…Giants playoff game 2007…his route running was horrendous..he didn’t fight off his defender and gave his quarterback no option on his side of the field…a QB is as dependent on his receiver as the receiver is on the QB..you are better than that…ask Donkeyballs about Braylon’s dropsies
