This here is the view from the Left Field stands in the new Yankee Stadium. Apparently, if you are sitting here and a ball lands in Right Field you can’t see it. The same can be said for those sitting in Right and looking towards Left. That big wall right there is a Steak House in dead Centerfield. When questioned by Neil Best over at Newsday, Yankee COO Lonn Trost showed great concern over this issue. Here is what he had to say:
Best: Is it true there are seats in the bleachers from which you can’t see parts of the field?
Trost: “Yes, but we will have TVs in the walls there.”
Best: That’s not the same thing as seeing it live, is it?
Trost: “We had a choice of selling it to somebody or not. If you come to the stadium you’ll see there are TVs in the walls. [Some views are obstructed] a little bit, but for $12 it’s a choice of taking it or not.”
Wow. Lonn Trost has the fans interests at heart. I mean the compassion of the man. He must have a degree in Public Relations. But seriously, the new Yankee Stadium was developed over the last 5 years at a cost of close to $2 Billion. The fact that they have limited view seating is a joke. I hope the steak tastes terrific. For the first time in a long time, it is amateur hour over in the Bronx. I hope their fans enjoy that fan friendly pricing for the chance to watch YES for $12 a seat plus parking.

Fenway still has some obstructed view seats. Then again, it opened in 1912.
Red Sox >>>>>>>>> Yankees
It’s an honor and privilege to attend a Yankees game. If anything, they should be charging extra for retro-style seating.
If you don’t want to pay $12 plus parking and concessions to watch a tv at the ballpark, you can keep your poor ungrateful ass at home.

A fun read here. One of the Baseball Prospectus guys tells his story about where the Yankees told him he could stick it since his season ticket package that he’s had since 1998 would no longer be available.
/I hope every single person associated with the management of that team gets violently ill’d
The tags for this post say it all.
Hmmm, I wonder where the arrogance of the employees comes from?
I don’t think we’re allowed to be having this conversation without the expressed, written permission of the New York Yankees and Major League Baseball.
I got implied oral consent. Will that do?
