As I type this, I think I’m colder than I ever have been in my entire life, and that’s saying something. It’s only about -10 outside, but the wind is gusting at nearly 45 mph. That is a recipe for disaster and/or death.

Anyways, I spent yesterday from noon until about 10 PM at the palacial Ralph Engelstad Arena. For those of you who don’t know (aka everyone but HawkEye) The Ralph is a $104+ million ice arena that is the finest in the world. The only one that can even come close is the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul. The Ralph is a 400,000 square foot facility that features floors made entirely of granite, seats made entirely of leather and cherry wood, two gigantic bars, a 10,000 square foot training room complete with underwater treadmill, 2 rinks, 50 luxury suites, 300 TVs and oh yeah 2,200 Sioux logos. So, needless to say it’s a nice place.

Anyways, I have no idea what happened yesterday in the sports world outside of the ND high school state hockey tournament, so you’ll have to settle for the links after the jump. Have a good Friday everyone.
