I think the proper argument is that SEC defenses are overrated because the offenses in the SEC are retardingly inept.
And if the Heisman Trophy should have nothing to do with stats, then clearly Tebow didn’t deserve the Heisman last year. IIRC, he only won it because he had a 20/20 passing/rushing TD season, which was supposed to be some great achievement or something. If he was such an “outstanding player”, he wouldn’t have led the Gheytors to 3 losses last year, and then ended the season with a loss to (snicker) the Michigan Wolverines.
