It is snowy to day in NYC. People are panicked.

I am winding up a week here at work and I am clicking around the old internet. As I am hitting all my regular work hot spots (the home ones are a little more PG13) I land on the NY Post. Needless to say, this may be the most misleading headline in the history of ever. For those of you who can’t open the link it says “Massive Snow Storm Pummels New York”. Here is a little more on the Pummeling:

A heavy snow storm pounded New York today and is dropping a heavy mix of snow, sleet and rain on New Yorkers. Hundreds of flights were canceled in anticipation of the storm.

The National Weather Service predicted 3 to 5 inches of snow would accumulate throughout the day and warned drivers to be careful of slippery roads and freezing rains.

Quite the pummeling, huh? A little perspective. A major ice storm hit New Hampshire a week ago and people are still without heat and power. Stigs complains about the nuisance of the 4 inches of snow he gets daily. Just a thought, instead of treating every snow event (I love that new meteorological term) like Hurricane Katrina, how about reporting this as it is. Snow during Friday rush hour. If your flying you are inconvenienced. The end. Below is a little imagery I equate to the pummeling.

Epilogue: As I was putting the finshing touches on this epic post, My boss told me that if we are done working we can go home. The reason, the snow storm. I love New York.
