In one of the best games of the season, the Kansas Jayhawks stunned 13th ranked Mizzou to win the Border War. The game, the most played rivalry in D-1A college football, featured 916 yards of total offense.

Todd Reesing threw for 375 yards and 4 TDs, two of which went to backup QB Kerry Meier, who had 14 catches for 106 yards, including the game winner.

Chase Daniel had a good day, with 391 total yards, 103 of them on the ground. His longest gain of the afternoon ended when he was stripped of the football and KU recovered. Missouri took over 16 minutes to get their first first down, and they also surrendered a safety in the game. Dez Briscoe had 9 catches for 115 yards and a touchdown, and also had several key returns to set up short fields for the Jayhawks.

But the play of the game was a 4th and 7 when Reesing was pressured and had to scramble, and found Meier in the end zone to give the team the win.

This two year stretch for Kansas will be their first two winning seasons since 1994-1995, their first two .500 or better conference seasons  since 1980-1981, and their 11 conference wins in the past two years matches their total from the 5 before it combined. Todd Reesing also broke his own record in the game with 3,575 passing yards on the season.
