The title has nothing to do with the Mets. They are resilient and I am getting used to the highwire act. Tonight, I came home from work with a headache and a tummy ache. I went to use the potty and pretty much I did piss out my ass. I feel like shit. I have nothing else witty to say. I am hoping it is a 24 hour thing since, I can’t take off work and I don’t feel like pissing out my ass. Here are some games that happened while I was praying for a quick death:

Gurucane’s Game of the Night: Mets 13 Nats 10 - Mike Pelfrey had a rough 5 innings. He was spotted a 7-1 lead and left with a 7-5 lead. Aaron Heilman once again proved he belongs nowhere near a postseason roster by giving up a 2 run homer to new Met Killer Cristian Guzman. The Mets battled back though and got a 4-4 night from David Wright a 2 RBI night from the Great Tatis and Delgado had a huge RBI as well as Brian Schnieder with a 2 RBI hit. Luis Ayala got his 7th save in 8 tries as a Met. The Mets move 3.5 up on the Phillies because…

Intern CRM’s Game of the Night: Marlins 7 Phillies 3 - Ricky Nolasco kept the Phillies in check and Brett Myers was not his dominant self. Dan Uggla came back from the dead to get a big 2 RBI double in the 9th for added insurance. The Phillies now have the Brewers coming to town in a crucial series. Speaking of the Brewers…

Stigs Game of the Night: Brewers 4 Reds 3 – CC Sabathia left this game down 3-1 but the Brewers battled back with a run in the 7th and 2 in the 8th. Former Bane of my existence Guillermo Mota got the win. After the game in the clubhouse, he was dealt a 3 queens and a pair of 8’s for a full house in a game of poker but promptly blew that game by giving up his 3 queens for a 2, 4 and 7. When asked why he did it, he told reporters,” I needed to blow a game today and I couldn’t find a way to get the Reds to do it.” Stigs enjoy him in the playoffs. Speaking of Playoffs…

Hef’s Game of the Night: Giants 4 D-Bags 3:The D-Bags don’t look like they will be anywhere near them. It’s a good thing Adam Dunn brought all that non-clutch hitting to the desert as he left Chris Young on third in the top of the ninth. Well, the team was ahead of the pathetic Giants but they rallied against Brandon Lyon in the 9th for the win. For some reason Danny Haren only went 4 innings. The D-Bags are falling off the tracks. I am guessing a certain someone is feeling awfully silly about thinking Adam Dunn would be a bigger difference than Manny Ramirez in winning a division. Speaking of silly…

Mikeychx’s Game of the Night: Cubs 4 Cards 3: I say silly because Kerry Wood put up one of his patented two earned run barely gets by in an easy save opportunity saves. Ryan Ludwick helped my Fantasy team with the now meaningless two run homer. Speaking of Meaningless…

Sparty’s Game of the Night: Angels 4 Yankees 2: K-Rod moved one step closer to Hall of Famer Bobby Thigpen’s single season save record. He doesn’t pitch two innings. I say that because apparently it means he sucks according to some sportswriters. Oh, he doesn’t suck. Omar sign him please. Oh, the Angles are the first team to clinch. Torii Hunter appealed his suspension to play today. 5-1 odds he drops the appeal tomorrow. Suck on it Yankees. Speaking of sucking…

cortes’s Game of the Night: Marlins 7 Phillies 3: I know I covered this but I wanted to see the score again…3.5 back bitches.

Hef’s Game of the Night 2: Rays 4 Red Sox 2: This was a classic pennant race baseball game. Granted both of these teams is assured to make the playoffs with such a huge Wild Card lead but winning the divison means something to these guys. The Rays were supposed to be happy to be at this point but the injuries were to overtake them and let the Red Sox pull ahead. This did not happen. A top of the 9th Home Run the game before off of Papelbon and last night a 14 inning game where Andy Sonnanstine and Josh Beckett along with most of each teams bullpens were brillant bringing a 1-1 tie into the 14th. With Papelbon unavailable last night, Mike Timlin was brought into a tie game in the 14th and let up a 3 run homer to Carlos Pena. In the bottom of the inning Troy Percival walked the bases loaded and was pulled by Joe Maddon because of an injury only Joe Maddon saw. Jason Hammel bailed out the Rays by giving up a sac fly to Kevin Youkilis, striking out Jason Bay and getting Alex Cora to pop out. The Rays move 2.5 up in the Division and are definitely for real, if you didn’t think that already.

The Nug’s Game of the Night: Dodgers 7 Padres 2: Well, another Ho-Hum Dodger victory. Manny Ramirez hit two home runs and had 4 RBIs. Andre Ethier was 2-4 with 2 RBIs of his own. Derek Lowe gave them 5 1/3 innings and the bullpen cruised the rest of the way. Shawn Estes, who I didn’t know was still playing baseball, gets the loss.
