This is A.J. Green, a true freshman and one of the best WR's I've seen in awhile. Keep your eye on him.

I went to the ASU/Georgia game last night and had a blast, even though we lost.  I sat behind about 6 Georgia fans that are some of the most decent human beings I’ve ever met.  Southern Hospitality is a wonderful thing.  It was funny, they snuck in Bourbon in ziploc bags that they hid in their belts and put up with a lot of shit from some drunken ASU assholes (shocker) but they were clever and made the game more fun.  I don’t know about you but when I go to any sporting event, I talk to everyone around me.  I can’t help it.  I don’t talk trash (even when it’s warranted), I just like to get a conversation going.

Funny story: the first time I went to a game with my father-in-law we got some good seats to a Dbacks game that were his business partner’s season tickets.  So we sit down and I immediately start chatting with everyone around us.  The whole game I’m like this while my father-in-law stays quiet and barely says a word.  This makes me nervous because this was a long time ago, before we got along as well as we do now, and I wasn’t sure if he was annoyed by what I was doing or if he just isn’t much of a talker.  So, then when we were leaving, he looks at me and says, “that was fun, right.”  I was gobsmacked.  It took me awhile just to say yes, yes it was.

Anyway, back to the game.  After such an interaction, my rankings of the most annoying fans in all of collegedom remain the same:

1. Notre Dame
2. Miami
3. OSU
4. Michigan (always behind OSU, no matter what)
5. SEC (different from fans of specific schools-these are fans of the conference that don’t shut up)

Here’s some more scores from around the nation last night:

Spartans 23, Irish 7: Didn’t watch this game.  Don’t care about Michigan State.  Just happy when Notre Dame loses.  Also, Rudy Ruettiger is a douche.

Cubs 5, Cardinals 4: The Cubs won their second straight division title and I couldn’t be more excited for them.  I can’t wait to see them get embarassed on a national stage again.

Braves 4, Mets 2: The Mets fell a half game back of the Phillies (who beat the Marlins) but they remain 2.5 games up on the Brew Crew for the Wild Card.

Yankees 1, Orioles 0: The Yankees refuse to lose and the Red Sox refuse to win to finally shore up that portion of the AL playoff race.

Royals 5, White Sox 2: Chicago is playing like shit lately.  Luckily for them, the Twins are playing shittier.  They still own a 2.5 game lead in the AL Central.

Snakes 5, Rox 3: Stephen Drew homered again, showing that he is a slow starter and a great finisher.  Upton continues to play well.  Snakes are still 3.5 back of the Dodgers who also won.
